ABOUT: In the summer of 2007, in the country of Israel, on the back of a camel labouring under the hot desert sun, a magnificent beard was born unto the face of one Canadian man. Few know what existed of John Last before this event, but many maintain he was a mere shadow of what he is today.
John is an avid beard enthusiast and describes himself as a “post-modern neo-bohemian”, although he’s confused by those words and wants to consult a grad student before using them again in pleasant company. Son of a Canadian Forces member, he was born in Manitoba and raised in Nova Scotia, but calls Kingston his home. In his more than 10 years in the city, he has earned himself the right to use the words “improviser”, “journalist”, “activist”, “musician”, “traveller”, and “adventurer” in reference to himself, and continues to be active with CFRC Radio and the Kingston Improv Games. He has the embarrassing habit of playing jazz piano in the nude almost every morning, and has lived and travelled throughout Canada, the United States, Europe, the United Kingdom, and the Middle East. His middle name is William, and is one of six things he has in common with William Shatner.

Kevin was born in and resides in Kingston, Ontario. He currently works at a grocery store, and as a result is very passionate about food and gourmet cuisine. Kevin is also an amateur actor, and appeared most recently in “The Vicious Circle”, a local film. He has spent two years in the high-school Improv circuit and is a burgeoning singer-songwriter, playing guitar and piano. While John is a master of the bearded arts, Kevin enjoys the fact that he remains a versatile presence in the bearded community. Since his initial stint at traveling the world, he has decided that more people could use the happiness his mere presence can give, and so he avidly enjoys circling the globe as often as possible. This is also something he wishes to do in the future, so if he’s in your town feel free to be blessed by his company.

INTERESTS: Music (guitar, bass, drums, piano, singing), acting (improvisational theatre, Kingston Improv Games alumni), sweaters, hats, all things Pixar, pints, politics, and hockey (the only real sport in the world)
ABOUT: Born at the edge of civilization, in the frigid northern town of Kapuskasing, ON, CA, it was here that Nathaniel’s DNA was fused and enhanced with the snow of 'Canadian Winters' inspiring his sense of pride, kinship and love of all things Canadian. Nathaniel spent a good part of his early childhood in different parts of Northern Ontario where, like any good Canadian child, he played hockey whenever the ice froze (which was the better part of the standard 12 month, 365 day year.) This childhood, spent in the small towns of the north, would shape Nathaniel’s strong sense of community for the rest of his life.
When Nathaniel’s family left the north he found himself a home in the small city of Kingston, ON, CA. It was here that he became enthralled with music, acting and other forms of the arts. It was at this time that Nathaniel began to learn his first instrument the guitar and thus sparked an epic romance of man and sound that would stand until the end of time and beyond to the far reaches of the infinite.
Nathaniel’s Interest in politics begins and ends with his pride as a 'Canadian Citizen' and his ongoing mission to make sure Canada is forever known as the best, most free and democratic country in the world. And so it was that with voter turnout at an all-time low, Nathaniel and 3 of his best mates looked towards the heavens and asked the most Canadian of questions..."How can we make this funny?"
And so began the epic journey to inspire a new generation of voters the most Canadian way he knows.... comedy.

INTERESTS: Listening to music, playing guitar, politics, cars, literature of all kinds (comic books, adventure/mysteries, biographies and historical novels) and of course, the pub.
ABOUT: I was born in Brockville, Ontario and moved to Kingston when I was six years old. Since moving I have been proud to call Kingston my home. I graduated from Loyalist Collegiate High School in 2008 and am currently going into my third year at Carleton University studying history.
In keeping with the tradition and my love of history I also work in a museum, and once I'm done school I aim to become a curator, although it’s far more likely you’ll find me outside the Shoppers Drug Mart attempting to pawn my B.A. Degree for bus fare.
For the coming months of the election I will be working as the campaign manager, keeping track of paper work for the guys' campaign, filming/writing/acting for the show and organizing events as well as setting up the meetings and interviews. Even though I'm not running myself I firmly believe that by involving people of all ages in our local politics and by together the community and giving everyone a chance to voice their opinions on important local issues we can make a positive change in the way that citizens of Kingston view our city's political institutions. As well, by involving youth and getting a younger generation concerned with the way our city is run we can bring to their attention the issues that affect them the most.
FACT: There are some who say he can bust a Ghost in under 4 seconds, and that he can recite all of the Marvel Characters and their powers. All we know is... his name is John James Emerton the Fifth.
